Konoba Nono – a charming and rustic restaurant in Croatia

While we were in Zagreb, Ivana, a friend of ours, advised that since we'll visit the Istrian County, we must stop to Konoba Nono tavern near Umag, so we didn't gave a second though.

It is a traditional Istrian cuisine restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and lovely design. From the entrance gave us a good feeling and we have been eager to know and discover more of it's secrets. The food was far better than expected!

We started with two delicious soups to warm up, one with local mushrooms and the other with seasonal vegetables that we exchanged between us like kids. At the second course, Gabi has chosen the fresh seashells mix cooked in white wine and garlic, while Luis went for a beef in mushrooms sauce, accompanied by a local red wine. For the dessert we shared a little sweetened semifreddo with figs dressing and strawberries and we received from the house two glasses of Limoncello (on the coast, the Italian influence is very visible).

It was a great experience and we recommend it with no hesitation.
